I actually get better at hitting things with the helicopter rockets this time! Check back here or on my YouTube channel for the upcoming release of UPDATE 2, which should be within the next few days if no major issues are discovered.
TESTING RESULTS / KNOWN ISSUES:
1. Many people are having issues installing over Minecraft 1.3.2 using the auto-installer. If that happens, use Minecraft Nostalgia to revert your Minecraft to 1.2.5 and it will most likely work. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/106402-tool-cyborgs-tools-mcnostalgia-104/ Or, follow the manual install instructions I provide in the auto-installer directory.
2. Interacting with certain Millenaire mod vendors can crash your client. This is a problem with the mod according to> http://millenaire.org/wiki/Bug_reports#Bugs_in_3.0.0r3 I can verify that certain Hindi villages caused this problem for me.
3. Teleport tethers are disabled. Use RailCraft World Anchors instead.
THX Helicopter mod is always something I wanted to try out. I love flying aircraft, especially helicopters (see my fly in BF3 here). I decided to see if I could put THX Helicopter mod in Glixyl’s Revenge.
IT WORKS IN SMP within Glixyl’s Revenge Update 2! After some messing around and reading, I found a port made by mushroomhostage for Forge. Check out this video I made highlighting THX Helicopter mod and search for some of the structures and features in their unique combination within Glixyl’s Revenge. I use the KDS PhotoRealism 128x texture pack in this video. I have added this to Update 2 of Glixyl’s Revenge – currently in testing!
UPDATE 10/7: Revenge now has Extra Bees!
I made Glixyl’s Revenge to fill a space in the modding community that I saw wasn’t being addressed. I wanted a technical mod pack that was also very dangerous to justify the end-game content. I wanted customized questing, land, air and sky animals and monsters to fight. I wanted to add cool gadgets not found in Tekkit to set it apart. I didn’t want most players just to sit around and feed their machines like I used do to in my former technical mod pack and also when I ran a Tekkit server. To cover all the content in Glixyl’s Revenge, you will need to search the skies, oceans, forests and plains of your Minecraft world to locate villages, new dungeons and other structures. I didn’t want to use Bukkit because some mods haven’t been ported to Bukkit and didn’t want to limit this pack and/or deal with conflicts caused by others running/needing Bukkit plugins to be compatible with my mod pack. In short, I wanted to control the variables and provide a somewhat polished experience for end-users to just have fun and play with friends.
This side-by-side comparison shows the differences between Revenge and Tekkit, but also illustrates how they are similar and should be easy for Tekkit players to adapt to Revenge quickly. Although they are similar, none of Glixyl’s Revenge was derived from Tekkit itself; nor do they share any configuration files, clients, launchers, servers, block or item ids.

UPDATE – 9/14/2012 – I have released Update 1 for Glixyl’s Revenge Server only. This allows DungeonPack v6 to run at all times without known issues with Treasure Dungeons. <click here to download>. I have replaced the normal server download links with update 1 version. If you want to update, follow the instructions below to patch your server or copy your ‘world’ file to the new downloaded server as well as copying and pasting your /mods/millenaire folder in the server directory to the new /mods/millenaire (overwrite).
If you run a Revenge mod pack server and have enabled the DungeonPack v6 mod by putting it in the server /mods directory, you should disable the Treasure Dungeons until Stuuupiiid releases the update for his mod.
To do that, change the setting in the file named DungeonPackConfiguration.cfg to Generate treasure dungeons=0. This file is found in the server /DungeonPack directory.
The good news for those who DON’T have DungeonPack enabled now is that changing that setting should make running DungeonPack no problem now. Once the next version is released, I will post a link and you can drop it in your server /mods directory.
From the author of Dungeon Pack himself:
“September 11th
At the time Im cleaning the code and fixing some bugs…
I think the next update will be available in the next week…
The treasure dungeon is currently buggy.
Maybe it will ruin your world so pls disable it until the next version is out.”
I came upon this problem myself in testing, which is the reason I left it out of the /mods directory in the release version, but in the server directory, so people could use it if they wish. It didn’t ruin my world though. All I had to do was delete a player’s .dat file; which purges their inventory. Not a big deal unless you are in a quantum suit or something.
Dev_ill and I play some Glixyl’s Revenge on a private server. We end up getting beat up pretty bad in this first episode.

UPDATE 9/29: check the new ‘docs and tutorials’ tab above.
There are so many mods contained within Glixyl’s Revenge (click here for release page/downloads/install instructions) that I thought I should provide some documentation besides the list of mods. To get the ball rolling, I decided to post links for YouTube tutorials and/or links to documentation. Bookmark this page as I will update it. Glixyl’s Revenge is a Minecraft SMP (multiplayer) mod pack with a downloadable auto-installer and one-click server that has been tested on Windows 7 and MacOS.
Ropes+ and Ultra Client / Sphax 128x modded with SEUS-adjusted light, shadows and water shaders.

MAtmos Environmental Sound. You must use version r12 for Minecraft 1.2.5 with this mod pack (on some systems sound problems are reported with the use of MAtmos) – http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/379925-125-matmos-r12-environmental-sound-atmosphere-simulator/
UPDATE:9/29 – please visit the download page for latest downloads of the client and server.
Glixyl’s Revenge for Minecraft is released! For the last couple of weeks, I have been testing the BETA2 release with the help of a few other people. There were reports of sound problems related to MAtmos, so I removed that after reading through some forums and finding others with the same issue. However, the final list of mods is improved, expansive and more in the spirit of a mod pack called ‘Glixyl’s Revenge’.
THEME: Tekkit-like Advanced building and high-technology mod pack, with fantasy elements and lots of danger. Hostile creatures fill the sea, land and skies. Don’t fret though, you can use advanced materials such as reinforced stone and glass to shield your houses, equipment and pets from harm. There are also force fields, interdiction torches that keep away hostiles and many weapons such as halberds, cannons, explosive arrows, lasers and bombs to keep the bad guys at bay; including enemy players!
It’s not all about building and killing though, however fun that may be.. 🙂 There is also questing and exploration, with goals such as learning to grow rare crops. There are bandit strongholds and more than a dozen custom dungeons above and below ground. If you set out to fly, you can explore villages in the sky and tree forts containing treasures. The dungeons, quests and other adventure features are also extensible so that server admins can add content and quests.
MODS: THX Helicopter mod, ComputerCraft 1.41, EnderStorage, ccSensors, compact solars, RedPower2, Wireless Redstone chickenbones edition with addons, BC additional pipes, advanced machines, Transformers v1.3 (BuildCraft power conversion), Forge API 3.3.152, mod_macros/keybind,immibis core, Not Enough Items with addons, Forestry, DungeonPack, Railcraft with addons, Battle Towers, Buildcraft, Mo’ Creatures v3.6.2, Millenaire, IronChests, Balkon’s Weapon Mod, nuclear control, modular force fields, EE2, Ropes+, ChickenCore, InvTweaks, Netherrocks, Optifine, Sphax64x texture pack modded for Revenge,BetterWorldGeneration3 (DEFAULT and Large Biomes only), Rei’s Minimap with configurable LoginMessage, CustomMobSpawner, HD texture addons for various mods.

In Minecraft, like many other games, playing in hardcore mode equates dying with the game being completely over. I play my mod pack called Entropy on hardcore mode in the video below and will try to stay alive for a few episodes to showcase the mod pack and its features.
Entropy will throw hostile animals and monsters, from the sea, land and air at you without mercy. Not to mention, the natural and unnatural disasters that will spawn around you. Sometimes it will happen all at once, sometimes the game will give you a break. It is random and I like my chaos that way. There are extra dungeons, both massive and small, above and below ground with custom monsters and treasures.
You spawn into the world with only a canteen and must get to work gathering resources or raiding peaceful villages. It is your choice to make, but make it quick because night is coming; if you can make it to the night-time that is…
<CLICK TO WATCH VIDEO SERIES, starting with episode 1>
I am making the final tweaks to this mod pack, but for now you can download BETA2 of Entropy for single-player Minecraft.
Watch all of the episodes on my YouTube channel. I don’t monetize any of Glixyl’s stuff so I can keep my hobby fun for me.

Entropy is the measure of disorder within a system. In other words, ‘things fall apart’. In this mod pack for single player Minecraft, that is exactly what will happen. You will need to run away from monsters, hostile land and sea creatures, keep hydrated and avoid the constant disasters plaguing your Minecraft world.
CaptainRob and I came up with the idea for this mod pack, so Hello to the CaptainRobGaming subscribers out there who are visiting. CaptainRob did an eight video series called Glixyl MoSMP Greatness you should check out if you would like to watch a previous mod pack I created for multiplayer kill CaptainRob, Spitfire25565, Jaeplane and the rest of the gang; over and over again 🙂
Releasing BETA2 after I found that only powerful machines could handle generating all the disasters and structures. Here is some more video of play testing on a very powerful machine with all the bells and whistles I can muster. Live vicariously through my OC’d graphics workstation!
The download release is much easier on resources and uses a 32x texture pack. If it still isn’t enough on your slow piece of crap computer, change the setting in /config/NaturalDisasters14 to Spawn_Tick=false or lower the frequency of disaster spawning in that config file. 🙂
DOWNLOAD>> BETA2 SINGLE PLAYER>
<ENTROPY BETA 2 CLICK TO DOWNLOAD>
The resources required to both create all the disasters and generate new structures was too much for most computers to handle. To remedy this, either download BETA2 or delete /mods/BattleTowers AS and /mods/newDun v1.7
Also I switched back to 32x texture pack for better performance. If you still have problems with performance required to generate the disasters, change this config setting to limit the amount of disasters in /config/NaturalDisasters14 to Spawn_Tick=true
INSTALL: Unzip the downloaded file and run the program called “Glixyl’s Entropy Installer.jar”. Make sure your existing install has empty /mods and /config directories, or just delete your .minecraft directrory and start with a fresh copy of Minecraft 1.32. If you have problems, please read through my posts below for more information on troubleshooting.
Some video of play testing Entropy SSP, which is a single player mod pack I am working on in the background. It is pure chaos and you will need to do plenty of running away and hiding while staying both hydrated and well fed. There are plenty of hostile land and sea creatures as well as monsters. Train a horse and endow it with armor to help you out. Make a grappling hook or use a warp arrow to ascend to places that are hard to get to..
