Beautiful, Deadly mod pack soon to have shaders together with animated textures.
Thanks to guys like MrMeep_x3, Blocksmithed and karyonix, I was able to hybridize the crazy animated textures together with shaders to a nice effect on MacOS, Windows and Linux. I will release this soon in a single package for all computers soon in an update to Beautiful, Deadly, but for now check out the video.

Beautiful, Deadly Prototype
My son and I have released our new prototype mod pack called Beautiful, Deadly on the Technic platform. It contains some bugs and should be used as a demo primarily, but I know you will have fun playing it. We are in the process of testing and refining now and will have a more official release soon. If you like what you see, please +1 it on Technic. Server will come soon after we have a more balanced release ready. **To play this mod pack, you must allocate at least 1.5GB of RAM to Technic Launcher, otherwise you won’t be able to load the nether in single player. To do this open the Technic Launcher and click the gear icon on the upper right of the Technic Launcher screen. Allocate 1.5GB of RAM within the Launcher Options screen.
Beautiful, Deadly is the latest mod pack by Glixyl and Dev_ill. It features extreme difficulty, magic, cave-ins, land slides, highlands and extra biomes, environmental dangers, an animated resource pack (poor man’s shaders for slower machines) and advanced server troubleshooting tools.
Thirst, extreme cold and heat, air quality, fear and cave-ins are some of the challenges to overcome in Beautiful, Deadly.
DEADLY (READ THIS): The world and nether are full of traps and randomly generated dungeons, both above and below ground. You must drink clean water to avoid dying of thirst. In the dark, you will begin to go crazy unless your area is lit. Air quality is also a danger, especially underground and with the use of too many torches, but the use of plant life such as leaves will clean up the air. Stay warm in cold environments, but also avoid overheating in places such as the Nether, where drinking ‘cold water’ will help cool you. While mining, cave-ins are a possibility. Avalanches happen and other block physics react more realistically.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
My son received his Minecraft Christmas wish this year
. Last year he barely touched any presents that weren’t Minecraft related. Santa learns and this year there was a Creeper Backpack, Minecraft Poster, Lego Nether set, Diamond Ore night light and Creeper wall switch. Everything is nice with the exception of the wall switch..
In other news, I might not wait for Minecraft 1.7.4+ to update to Forge before I release the next mod pack. The working title is “Beautiful Deadly” and is a fantasy and magic pack that has a lot of eye candy, dangerous terrain and horrible monsters. Here is a little screenshot teaser of the wilderness and I may release a prototype version over the next week or two on Technic platform.

Entropy client and server, version 023 release
Version 023 of the Entropy mod pack was released a few days ago. Before release, the guys at AegisGaming.org helped me do some stability testing and we had a lot of fun.
If you haven’t played Entropy yet, please check it out as I have put quite a bit of time and energy into making what I believe is the most innovative mod pack ever created for Minecraft. I am not saying it is the best mod pack, but I think you will agree it is one of the most original ones out there after giving it some playtime. Entropy v022 Expansion, Let’s Play!
My son Dev_ill and I are playing the new Entropy expansion/update, which contains many bug fixes as well as 13 more mods to round out the Entropy universe.
Highlights: Return of Alien vs Predator, Mo’ Zombies, ThaumCraft3+tinker, Modular Power Suits addons, return of Dynamic Earth (formerly known as mud mod), Pam’s DesertCraft/Temperate Plants/Melon/Giant Mushroom and of course updates and bug fixes to all of the Universal Electricity mods as well as GalactiCraft.
Glixyl’s Revenge 2 Public Server Release
Revenge 2 server has been released to the public in version 2.3.1. I am still working on the 2.4 update and will have that out within the next month or so.
For now, please enjoy this public server release and thanks for the likes on my Technic account.
INSTALL: Visit the Glixyl’s Revenge 2 Technic page and click the server download link in the description. To launch the server use the included “start – java 7.bat” file on Windows or the start.sh script for Linux.
SERVER PROTECTIONS: By default, claiming land with /mytown will protect your players against the threats in this mod pack as well as keep enemy players out of your town. PVP is on by default, so combat can take place outside of towns. To promote users from Visitor rank, use the /pex commands. (see README-glixyl.txt file in the server download)
Glixyl’s Entropy Server Download, version 021

The server is MCPC+ based, which means that you can add some /plugins to the server to customize it further. By default, it is setup to provide some simple /home commands, /spawn and has a simple Essentials based economy. Players start with basic stone tools and weapons to give them a chance to get established.
In Entropy, the world is falling apart! Entropy is a brand new hardcore physics sandbox designed to provide a hostile environment set in space, the overworld and hell. highlights: extreme weather such as tornadoes, land slides, cave-ins, block physics, meteor strikes, day walking zombies that can sense your blood, space travel, boss mobs, blowing leaves, erosion, land mines, traps, guns, planes, night vision, power suits, all the University Electricity mods and more!
