The new version of entropy promises to be my most diabolical death machine yet. A coming map wipe marks the introduction of entropy on Minecraft 1.5.1 at Aegis Gaming with even more danger and chaos than before in a post apocalyptic and broken world. Undead wander in hordes, have special abilities and can both smell and see players at a larger distance. The environment itself is very hostile from the extreme weather to difficulty with food. You will even need to harvest bone meal from skeletons to grow grass- just to find seeds. There are many pitfalls, traps, arrow/fire spawners, towers that you need to explore to find essential items, all kinds of special monsters with abilities from Minecraft as well as some interesting Aliens 🙂 Check out video footage of entropy during alpha testing as well as some of the coming additions and changes to entropy in the new version 007 (soon to be promoted as standard version in Aegis launcher).
UPDATE 28th March- have put Revenge 2 into ForgeBukkit/MCPC+ in a test environment; which means that you will be able to use Bukkit plugins on Revenge 2 soon and host your own server. Working on a simple tutorial with some download links for copying the client and configs (from the launcher) and making a server from it due to the fact that Forge mods are universal now. The Revenge 2.1a update will provide this functionality and some other minor updates as well as a surprise.
Revenge 2.1 update is now released to the public. There are now 118 mods and lots of updates to the existing mods with bug fixes. Some new highlights> Shelves/book cases/armor stands/potion racks/display cases, Dimensional Doors, the return of RailCraft, barb wire, code doors, electric fence, backpacks mod, liquid relays, more composite armor. Shaders are once again available for Revenge 2 in three varieties. TIP- I love default textures with the ‘bump shadows waving’ shader, available via ‘options’ menu.
Download the launcher and play Revenge 2.1 update from http://files.aegisgaming.org/Technic/aegis-launcher.jar
The server IP is coded into the client. There is a towns system and updated server protections.
This was done on XBOX btw.. all I have to say is “WOW!”
Thanks to thesodmonster for the tip.
AegisGaming is hosting a public test server for entropy. The server address is adt.aegisgaming.org. Get the download, docs and more from the new entropy wiki at http://entropysandbox.wordpress.com
Here is some footage of the newest version of entropy available within the Aegis Launcher and playable online at http://aegisgaming.org, a non-profit organization. There is now extreme weather in entropy!
SYNOPSIS: entropy is running in ‘sandbox’ mode at Aegis Gaming on a Sky Dimension map. All features are enabled with the exception of the special mobs.
While vacationing overseas last Summer, I turned on my laptop while having coffee one morning and was surprised and flattered that a team of people were making videos about my new mod pack- Glixyl’s MoSMP.
Before Glixyl’s MoSMP for Minecraft 1.2.5, my Minecraft mod packs were for my close friends only and I had no intention of releasing them to the public.
The video series was by CaptainRob Gaming and featured some funny personas and lots of death. I had a great time watching them get fragged by MoSMP over and over again. I like to kill players because without difficulty, reward is empty. 🙂
One day, CaptainRob called me up and we talked about ideas for a disaster mod pack with objectives. I tried for a while to put a multiplayer disaster pack together with the original entropy, but found mod support/tools lacking at the time and released a single player version instead.
With Minecraft 1.4.7, and its massive Forge mod library, the time was right to start a multiplayer entropy project again. CaptainRob has started a Let’s Play of entropy on a Sky Dimension map and already gets into some trouble in his first episode here.
Thanks Rob- for help with ideas and for covering my mod packs over the last year.
-if you would like to try out entropy, try the Aegis Launcher.
You can grab the initial single player release of entropy at http://files.aegisgaming.org/Technic/aegis-launcher.jar within the Aegis Launcher.
There is a single player save that is ready-to-play and should work on Windows, Linux and MacOS- with and without shaders.
I am also working on a new wiki for entropy and will release details in the coming days..

in entropy, things are falling apart around you.
try to survive the extreme environments as you also pvp.
monsters are very strong and aggressive and there are many map types available, each with their own set of challenges.
modern weapons, tools, guns, bombs, grenades, mechanical energy, electrical energy, steam energy, human power and more.
building and surviving in low gravity / pressure environment. low resource shaders and high resource shaders with optimized texture pack.
mining with risk of cave-in. sky dimensions and cave dimensions. hardcore nether with better rewards.
traditional tech mods that I won’t even list here because you have played them before 🙂 watch the video.
videos coming soon for entropy, a multiplayer survival physics sandbox
The good folks over at Aegis Gaming have the latest versions of both AdventureTech v1.0.1 and Revenge 2.0.8 online within their Aegis Launcher once again. Thanks!
Get the launcher at http://launcher.aegisgaming.org
The server IP is hardcoded into the launcher for ease of use. Town protections that stop mods from destroying land are in place for all registered citizens and group chat, local chat, trade chat and more are available for nation building and more.
Client updated to fix bugs in the change logs of many mods, some of which said ‘fixed server crash’.
Public server will be released soon and is current map(s) compatible. I don’t plan to break maps for Revenge 2 if I can avoid it at all because of the immense grind it entails to fully tech up in all of the scientific disciplines.
